The Bolt around the Holt - I had a choice of a 5k, 10k or 21k (half marathon) so guess which one I chose?  The course is a 5km lap on compact forest trails with some cheeky inclines of which I've got to do four and to see the "cheekiness" of the inclines check out he Garmin route. http://connect.garmin.com/player/27935599

Linfield Gallop - "that due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control this race has had to be cancelled"

Mini-Marshman is based on the Dungeness peninsula so its guaranteed flat! It is mini in the sense that the "Marshman" is more like a half-Ironman which includes swimming far further than I can manage.  Still have to do a 700m open water swim, 20k cycle and 5k run - so it should be good practice for later in the year.

XTT ('xtreme terrain triathlon) - This is the largest off-road triathlon in the UK, with a demanding course boasts an open water swim, a 5.5km bike loop and a 5km run loop.  Mountain-biking and running across army training land on tough woodland trails and several open tracks amongst single forest tracks.  There's some video clips on their website.

The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon is one of the most scenic city runs in the world.   Starting and finishing in Hyde Park, the beautiful 13.1 mile route races through four of London’s stunning Royal Parks (Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park and St James’s Park) and offers runners magnificent views of some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall along the way.  Managed to get a place via the second ballot so expecting a sell-out race.

HellRunner offers trail running at its toughest and most enjoyable. 10 -12 miles of challenging off-road running… tough, twisting trails… including the famed Hills of Hell and the Bog of Doom! Check out the videos on the website!
